okay...the california recall election was a joke, in my opinion. i hate the fact that i'm going to be a pundit for the next paragraph or two, but i need to release my thoughts for a second. as a californian, i'm really questioning this whole process...especially now that we have the governator. i'm sorry...but, he has zero credibility. i'm a democrat, and i voted for tom mcclintock, he's a senator, he had a plan to lower taxes. i voted no on the recall...my reasoning behind my decisions was this:
grey davis isn't the best governor, nor is he the worst. he is not the person to blame for the energy crisis...that much is left to enron and the other energy companies that decided to screw everyone and go broke. unfortunately, davis was the scapegoat for our state debt, and enough people decided to recall him from his position before he could finish his job. davis had two more years to fix the problem...and it seems very unfair to pull him out of office for things that aren't really his fault.
as for voting for mcclintock...why not bustamante? i simply don't like bustamonte's politics...he's giving all these handouts to special interest groups in order to buy votes, and i don't like that style. it's not doing the right thing...i don't like preferential policies, and he was promising them. i liked mcclintock...he has political experience and he had a plan.
i voted, and i believe that i have the right to voice my opinion and complain because i did so. i will say this much...maybe i'm not giving enough credit to schwarzenegger...maybe he will be a good politician...maybe his advisors will do a good job of running the state...maybe he'll surprise me. before i start giving arnie my props...he'd better do a good job and do what he was elected to do...otherwise, california politics are no more than a punchline to a million jokes.

okay...so i just picked up the new early november cd yesterday, and let me tell you: HOLY CRAP IT IS GOOD. first off, to do a little advertising, it's $8.99 this week at best buy...and right now it comes with a limited edition dvd. but, yeah...
the re-working of ever so sweet is still mainly acoustic, but they added a string arrangement to the song and it sounds fawesome. crap...you just need to go buy that cd...awesome band, effing awesome band.
can't wait to see them at chain reaction...they're there with some awesome bands too: copeland, count the stars, and hidden in plain view. it'll be a sick show.
